He also said that the Keystone Pipeline may be resurrected.
President Donald Trump announced that a trade framework agreement with Canada late Tuesday. He said the tariffs set to go into effect on Wednesday would be delayed.
President Trump stated, “I have paused the 50% Tariffs against Canada, that were scheduled to kick in tomorrow morning for a three day period, based on the fact that Canada and the U.S.A., subject to the finalization of documents, have a DEAL!”
The president indicated that the Keystone Pipeline, a project which had been scuttled due to repeated environmental legal challenges, might be “awoken from the grave!”
U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer also said, “The deal will include comprehensive market access for all American goods, economic security commitments, digital trade alignment, and many important provisions that will continue to protect our market and American workers, along with our Canadian partners.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for President Trump as he negotiates trade deals to improve the American economy.
- For U.S. Trade Representative Greer and members of the president’s trade team as they engage in discussions with foreign trading partners.
